October 29-Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we took a trip to the pumpkin patch in Oakland. Annika was asleep in the car on the way there and didn't really like being woken up to have her picture taken, so she looks kind of grumpy.




On the way home, she was super cheerful. She recently discovered her fingers and her hands.




The sweater Annika is wearing is one that I made. Everyone thought she was a boy, which isn't quite the look I was going for. Maybe if I put her in a pair of pink tights with the sweater?

October 10-The Dollar Store

Yesterday we made a big trip to the dollar store and Annika started crying because she was hungry. Well, I hid in a corner, got her latched, and kept shopping. Here is a photo of us! I'm not sure that anyone in the store knew that Annika was eating, they probably just thought she was sleeping.

October 9-Lights Out

The power to our apartment went out yesterday and the landlord could not figure out what went wrong. So, last night we were without power and had to go out to eat dinner. Annika wore an adorable hat from kellie and slept the entire meal.

Oct. 7-Annika with her Favorite Toy

Another video! Annika loves her car seat toy. She'll sit in the car seat for a long time just chatting and laughing with her toy. I've looked at it from her perspective in the seat and I can't figure out what it is that fascinates her so much about the toy--there's not even a face that she can see from where she is sitting. Oh well! I guess it's a mystery.

Oct. 4-Annika 9 weeks

Here is a video of Annika smiling and almost laughing. For some reason, she loves to have puffs of air blown into her face.

Sept. 30-Pants for Annika

For those of you that read Mom's blog, you've read the post "Pants for Annika". Here is Annika in those pants. Unfortunately, I was taking the photo one-handed, so this is the best I got. Later I'll take a better photo when Julian is home to help.

Cousin Angel's Baptism

Annika's cousin Angel was baptised on September 26. We didn't attend mass, but we did go to the party afterwards (you know us, a couple of party girls!). Here are some photos from the party.

Church in Kellie's Hat

Annika and I went to the Episcopal church a few weeks ago. It was a pleasant experience and Annika was very well behaved. There is a nursery at the church and everyone was very excited to see a new baby. The hat in the photo is one that Kellie made for Annika using the Bernat self-patterning yarn. I think it is adorable!
